“Police are investigating the death of a care home resident in Manchester.
Ivan Emmanuel Campbell, 73, a resident at Victoria Nursing Home, Anson Road, in Rusholme, was admitted to hospital on 16 April and died the following day.
A post-mortem examination found he died from internal injuries. The coroner has been informed.
Greater Manchester Police said, after an examination of the private nursing home, they had concluded that the injuries were non-accidental.
The police are working with the owner of the home and its staff, Manchester City Council, the NHS, Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust and the Care Quality Commission as part of the investigation.”
